How to make Mava Modak for Ganpati Bappa bhog during Ganesh chaturthi festival 2018

Mava modak is yet another great receipe for Ganesh Chaturthi 2018, however it is one of the favourite sweet of lord ganesha. 

Traditionally modak is prepared with steamed rice flour, but modak can be made by different ways in different flavors 

That's why today in this post we will share a receipe to make milk powder modak ( mawa modak)

Mawa-modak-Receipe-for-Ganesh-Chaturthi

Ingredients to make Mawa Modak:

1. Milk powder 1 cup (110 gm)

2. Cream (1/4 cup)

3. Butter (2 tbsp)

4. Sugar powder (50-60 gm)

5. Green cardamom (5-6 pcs)

6. Milk (1/2 cup)

Method to make Mawa Modak ( Modak Receipe ):

1. First of all, we will make mawa of milk powder with butter and cream, so to do this heat the pan and make the flame low 

2. Now, melt the butter on the pan and add cream to it and cook it by continuously mixing them . 

3. After that ,add milk to the mixture and continuously mix all the ingredients until it starts boiling. 

4. Now, add milk powder and mix it nicely , make sure it doesn't get lumpy . 

5. When butter is coming out of mawa , then it indicates mawa is ready, So turn off the flame and keep mawa into another bowl , so that it will cool faster

6. While the mawa is cooling peel off the cardamom and make a powder and add it to the mawa and mix them

7. Now add boora to it and mix them properly

8. Now join the open edges together and give it a desired shape, You can also take the help of mould , that's it
